Cressida gets results. A supportive, nurturing environment and her ability to meet students at their level whilst maintaining academic rigour defines Cressida’s approach.
Educated at Wycombe Abbey and Oxford, Cressida went on to be called to the bar as a scholar of Lincoln’s Inn. It was not long into her career as a barrister, however, that she realised her real passion lay not in litigating people’s problems, but in teaching, encouraging and inspiring youngsters to achieve their own academic goals.
University was an inspiring time for her and still informs much of her engagement with pupils today; from receiving top class tutoring from Oxford Dons, to graduating as a college scholar with a Double First in her Ancient & Modern History degree. However, had it not been for the encouragement of her lovely Maths tutor in Scotland to get her through her 11+, 13+ and Maths GCSE, none of this may have been possible.
Interested in holistic, personal development Cressida also believes in the need to support the wellbeing of the student, suggesting techniques for relaxation and confidence boosting. She and her team go beyond simply left-brained learning and the parameters of the syllabus.
Cressida expects similar high standards and dedication from her tutors, given the bespoke nature of the work. All tutors are vetted and selected by Cressida, and one of the reasons she has such success with her tutors is that she insists on working with people who share her ethos to learning.
